E-Attendance Policy

The purpose of the Attendance Policy is to clarify the organizational procedures for synchronous e-learning attendance. Synchronous attendance refers to the virtual presence in live virtual classrooms and ensuring that the trainee is present in real time during the session. Accordingly, the following rules and procedures have been established:

General Attendance Regulations

  • Electronic attendance through virtual classrooms is considered equivalent to physical attendance.
  • At least 25% of the program/course hours must be delivered through synchronous virtual classrooms in cases of asynchronous e-learning programs lasting more than one month.
  • At least 25% of the program hours must be delivered through synchronous virtual classrooms in blended learning programs (whether virtual or physical attendance), for programs longer than one month.
  • All participants must adhere to the training schedule timeline.
  • The trainee must attend at least 85% of the total training hours.

Attendance Recording and Monitoring

Attendance and absence are recorded, documented, and monitored according to the following procedures:

  • The Technical Supervision Department is responsible for monitoring, supervising, and tracking trainee access to the e-learning platform.
  • Attendance and absence are recorded automatically through virtual classroom systems.
  • Periodic electronic attendance reports are sent to trainers.

Non-Compliance with Attendance Requirements

Failure to meet the minimum required attendance rate will result in the application of the following procedures (excused absence / unexcused absence):

  • Trainees who fail to meet the minimum attendance requirements (20% threshold as defined) will be considered as not having completed the training program and will be denied the certificate.
  • The minimum required synchronous attendance is not less than 20%.
  • Virtual attendance is considered equivalent to physical attendance.

Excused Absence

  • Excused absences are accepted under approved regulations, such as medical excuses or a death certificate.
  • The trainee must not fall below the minimum attendance threshold; otherwise, they will be required to retake the program without additional fees.

Unexcused Absence

  • If the trainee exceeds the minimum attendance requirement without an acceptable excuse, they will be disqualified from completing the training.

This Attendance Policy applies to all trainees enrolled in the center’s programs. The center is committed to enforcing this policy, and all staff members are required to comply with it. Any violation of this policy will result in disciplinary action in accordance with the procedures of The Ideal Almutawroon Center for Health Education and Training.
